It was my very first trip to Milan – a city that I had passed many times on my way to Southern Europe and whose suburbs and highways were always something one would want to leave behind as quickly as possible.
This year’s Salone del Mobile – the largest furniture fair in the world – was the best reason to visit what is definitely one of Europe’s finest places. Be it beautiful backyards in Brera, famous fashion studios in Tortona or old factory buildings in Lambrate: each neighborhood boast a unique atmosphere and the entire city becomes a huge festival venue during the Salone.
